London taxi crash injures four, not thought to be terrorist related

gynane/iStock/Thinkstock(LONDON) — Police in London are investigating a collision involving a taxi on Wednesday evening in Convent Garden, but says that the crash that injured multiple people is not thought to be terrorist-related.

According to the London Ambulance Service, four patients were treated for injuries, and three were taken to area hospitals.

The crash occurred just after 5 p.m., officials say, on Southampton Street. The driver of the taxi stopped at the scene of the crash and was detained by police.

“This is being treated as a serious road traffic collision,” Metropolitan Police said in a statement, “and not thought to be terrorist related.”
