State Troopers Work Two Accidents Involving Fatalities in Calhoun County on Tuesday

Two people were fatally injured in separate auto accidents in Calhoun County on Tuesday.

Shortly after 10:00am Alabama State Troopers responded to a single-vehicle wreck outside of Jacksonville, where a 2002 Toyota Camry, driven by 46 year old Donna Watson Boozer of a Piedmont address – left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.

The report noted that Boozer wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time the crash occurred.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A three-vehicle wreck on I-20 westbound involving a Honda Civic and two 18-wheelers, left a 32 year old Oxford man dead.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report – that crash involved a 2015 Volvo, driven by Kennard Smith of Livingston, Texas and a 2004 Hino, being driven by Jacksonville resident Alan Dale Landers along with the 2014 Civic, being driven by Matthew Bryant Goodwin – who was fatally injured.

That accident took place at 2:20pm.

Both accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
