Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver said Deputies with the Investigative Division arrested a 37 year old fugitive from Floyd County, Georgia on Tuesday.

Ricky Scott Moore was placed under arrest on a felony Probation Violation for Assault. 

Investigators also charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – along with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sheriff Shaver said Moore was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he awaits bond on local charges before being extradited to Georgia.
