Deals and recommendations for National Vodka Day and National Taco Day

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — The beginning of October typically marks the first taste of autumn. It is also a time that people celebrate some popular delicacies in America. October 4 is National Vodka Day and National Taco Day, according to www.nationalcalendarday.com.

Both taco and vodka days have individual websites.

Taco Bell is one destination people go to observe the national day. According to the company’s press release, the fast food chain’s offering customers a $5 gift box of tacos only on October 4th.

The box includes four of the restaurant’s most popular tacos: Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, Fiery Doritos, and the Crunchy Taco.

Folks, in the spirit of National Vodka Day, may opt to wash down their tacos with an adult drink. Paul Masterson of “Drinks Made Easy” spoke with ABC News about the day, saying it is a time to explore different brands.

He recommends LEAF Organic Vodka, specifically the Rocky Mountain Vodka, an organic drink which is following a new non-GMO trend in the world of spirits.

Moscow Mules are also a “coming back in a major way” according to Masterson, as people become fonder of drinking out of a copper cup. He expects there to be a high demand for Moscow Mules.

Those who celebrate both National Vodka Day and National Taco Day may hold their appetite for dessert. The next day, October 5, is National Apple Betty Day.
