Congressman Mike Rogers Makes A Bold Statement Regarding NFL Players Kneeling During The National Anthem

WEIS Radio recently had the opportunity to speak with Congressman Mike Rogers by phone to discuss several key issues currently facing the Nation and the Third District of Alabama.

One of the hot topics over the last several weeks has been the controversial issues of NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem. Congressman Rogers said that he is appalled by those that show disrespect during the National Anthem.

Rogers also cosponsored H.R. 532, introduced by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that persons present who are not in uniform or are not members of the Armed Forces or Veterans “Should face the flag and stand at attention with their hand over the heart”.
