Three Injured in Two Vehicle Accident on Highway 9 Wednesday Morning

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Cherokee County Wednesday morning.

That wreck took place around 7:30 on Highway 9, approximately two miles south of Centre, in extremely foggy conditions – and according to the information listed in the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, involved a 2008 Kia being driven by 42 year old Stacy Rogers of Piedmont and a 1995 Chevrolet driven by 16 year old Cedar Bluff resident Robert Abernathy, Jr.

Abernathy was unhurt however Rogers was listed on that report as receiving injuries along with two passengers in her vehicle, a one year old and a seven year old.

No additional information was available regarding the extent of their injuries.
