We have reports of a single-vehicle accident taking place on County Road 82 near the Unity Church just before 7:00 Tuesday morning, during which a car left the roadway and struck a power pole breaking it in half.
Early reports indicated that the driver was only shaken up and escaped serious injury.
Cherokee Electric was dispatched to the scene to repair the pole and restore power.
It’s unclear what led to the accident occurring.
