Mr. Harbin Garrett age 78 of Centre passed away Monday September 11th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday September 13th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Butler officiating, burial will follow in Providence Cemetery (Hwy 411). The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 3 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Wade McDaniel, Derreck McDaniel, Darrell McDaniel, Myron McDaniel, Lee McDaniel, and Levi Nunnley. Honorary Pallbearers include, Goodyear Retires, Fred Rhinehart and Gerald Kerr.
Survivors include wife, Mary Wade Garrett of Centre; one son, Tony Garrett of Centre; also Stephanie (Darrell) McDaniel of Gadsden; one brother, Shelton (Patsy) Garrett of Centre; four grandchildren, Wade McDaniel, Derreck (Chelsea) McDaniel, Selena McDaniel and Lee McDaniel; and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Rose McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Hobert, Edward and Hershel Garrett; sisters, Dorothy Deaton and Shirley Middleton.
Mr. Garrett was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Willie Albert and Exie Wood Garrett and was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the McCords Crossroads Fire Department or Providence Cemetery Fund.
