Med “Doc” Sexton, age 68 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, September 12th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 3:PM Thursday, September 14th at Hebron United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Oneal, Rev. Christa Bates and Rev. Kenneth Crane officiating; burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:PM Thursday at the church.
Pallbearers include James Holcomb, Steven Bates, “Soda Pop”, Timothey Moon, Tyler McDaniel, Chris Oneal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Edgeworth, Domino.
Survivors include wife, Judy Collins Sexton; sons, Richard Lamar Sexton of Leesburg, Darrell Lee Sexton of Centre, Edward Sexton of Leesburg, Jimmy (Misty) Cook of Silver Creek, GA; daughters, Pam Sexton, Rhonda (Kent) Hunnel of Cave Spring, GA.; brothers, Robert (Katie) Sexton of Adel, GA, Jim Martin Sexton of KY, Hughdon Sexton of Adel, GA, Albert Lee Sexton of Adel, GA. Joe Sexton of Cedar Bluff; special granddaughter, Grace “Little Bit” Sexton, 5 others; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Mr. Sexton was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Ed and Lula Holcomb Sexton and was of the Baptist faith.
