Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators discovered a significant amount of marijuana growing behind a home on County Road 160, near Lindsey’s Store Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff Jeff Shaver said investigators seized the marijuana and placed Randy Todd McGatha, age 39 of Centre, under arrest on charges of Trafficking Marijuana, two counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just before 3:30 that afternoon, where he remains awaiting a bond hearing.
