UPDATED| Driver Treated For Non-Life Threatening Injuries In Single Vehicle Crash On County Road 29

 

According to Chief Phillip Winkles with Piedmont Rescue, the driver of a Mustang was transported to Gadsden Regional Medical for non-life threatening injuries after being involved in a single car accident in the 4200 block of County Road 29 four miles north of Piedmont at approximately 5:30 Sunday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s accident report the accident involved a 2009 Mustang driven by 23 year old Riley Smith of Centre. Troopers say that smith was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Spring Garden Fire Department assisted Piedmont personnel along with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

State Troopers say that the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
