Additional information has now been released, regarding the arrest of a 30 year old man on SORNA charges in Cherokee County.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Patrick Edward Sullivan – an out-of-state convicted sex offender – was taken into custody on Tuesday, and booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just before 11:00 that morning. Sheriff’s Office Investigators received information Sullivan was living in Leesburg and had failed to comply with the Alabama Sex Offender Registration Notification Act (SORNA)
After verifying the conviction, investigators took Sullivan – who is from Albany, New York – into custody.
He currently remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center on bond of $5,000
