Alabama State Troopers Work Total of Seven Accidents in Cherokee County Over the Weekend

Alabama State Troopers spent a great deal of time in Cherokee County over the weekend.

According to the Trooper Post, units responded to a total of seven accidents – four Saturday and three Sunday. 

Fortunately only one of those involved injuries – that wreck occurred around 7:40 Saturday evening on County Road 75, approximately a mile west of Cedar Bluff, and involved a 1999 Chevrolet, driven by a 16 year old female resident of Gaylesville.  No information was noted on the report regarding the extent of her injuries.

The other Saturday accidents included a single-vehicle wreck on County Road 29 at around 4:15 that afternoon; a two-vehicle accident on Highway 278 at 8:50pm, and a wreck around 10:00pm near Harton’s Store on Highway 68.

Sunday’s accidents included a two-vehicle crash on Highway 68 around 10:15 that morning – another two-vehicle wreck on County Road 6 at 5:15 that afternoon – and a single-vehicle accident on County Road 15 three miles south of Chesterfield at 8:15 that evening.

Again, only one injury was reported out of the total of seven different mishaps.
