Mrs. Johnnie C. Rains age 88 of Centre passed away Friday August 4th at her residence.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Sunday August 6th at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Rev. Eddie Nation officiating.
Pallbearers include Mike Flynt, Mark Flynt, Rod Chandler, Tony Mackey, Scott Mackey and Derrick Sherrell.
Survivors include daughters, Susan Rains of Centre and Diane Bedwell of Cedar Bluff; sister, Marjorie Garrett of Centre; special granddaughter, Kim (Derrick) Sherrell of Southside; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Megan Rowe and Felicia Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Leon Rains; son, David Rains; daughter, Pam Bishop; brothers, Sambo Flynt and Jack Flynt; sisters, Sue Byrum, Elenor Richards and Charlotte Sanchez.
Mrs. Rains was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late William and Pansy Stroup Flynt and a member of Centre First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Centre First Baptist Homebound Department.
