Leesburg Man Charged with Attempting to Elude When Deputies Serve Him with Warrants

A Leesburg man is currently lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center, with another charge added on in response to his effort to flee when Sheriff’s Office Deputies attempted to serve him with arrest warrants on Wednesday of this week.

According to information in a news release from Sheriff Jeff Shaver – Deputies Thomas Key and Hunter Brisendine arrived at the residence on Highway 273 to serve warrants on Ryan J. Robertson, when that subject attempted to flee on foot – Robertson, however, was quickly caught. 

He was wanted for Failure to Appear on two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and for Enticing a Child; he was also charged with Attempting to Elude.

Robertson remains behind bars with bond yet to be set.
