WEIS Radio News talked to Kenny Wilbanks at the Cherokee County Highway Department on Tuesday morning and he informed us that they would be resurfacing a stretch of County Road 48 – Alabama 273 to Highway 68 – today and tomorrow/Tuesday and Wednesday.

So, motorists taking that route should plan ahead and give yourself just a few extra minutes to get where you’re going on time – also slow down and exercise caution when approaching those work zones and kept the safety of those on the crews uppermost in your mind.
