Mr. Charles Armstrong age 81 of Centre passed away Sunday July 23rd at his residence.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday July 26th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Rainey and Rev. Tim Smith officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include grandsons.
Survivors include wife, Maxine Walker Armstrong of Centre; son, Dennis Armstrong of Centre; daughters, Linda (Tom) Nabors of Centre and Diane (Tony) Hendon of Centre; brothers, William Armstrong of Indiana, Sammy Armstrong of Tennessee, Mack Armstrong of Centre; sisters, Audrey Hendon of Cedar Bluff, Minnie Bryant of Centre and Joan Stinson of Centre; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Armstrong was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Samuel Burvle and Ruth Elizabeth Colley Armstrong and a member of the Centre Congregational Holiness Church.
