Some residents in the downtown Centre area were left without power for an extended period of time Friday afternoon after a large tree fell into the power lines on College Street near Main Street as heavy thunderstorms rumbled through the area.
Cherokee Electric Crews and the Centre Fire Department responded to the location with Co-op crews quickly restoring power to the area.
