2,000 to 3,000 Left without Power Thursday Night After TVA “Drops Line” to Key Substation

Between 2,000 and 3,000 people were left without power for around 30 minutes Thursday night when TVA “dropped the line” servicing the Key substation – forcing Cherokee Electric to re-route electricity in order to restore service to their customers.

That outage extended from County Road 34 to County Road 29 in the Forney area.

TVA offered no explanation either to customers or Cherokee Electric regarding why service was interrupted on their end.
