Two Hurt in Highway 68 Accident in Gaylesville

Two people were hurt in a single vehicle accident taking place during the early morning hours of Wednesday in Gaylesville.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that wreck was shortly after 1:00am on Highway 68, and involved a 2001 Nissan, driven by Thomas Wirtfield, Jr. of Cedar Bluff, age 18.  Both he and a passenger in the vehicle, 17 year old Gaylesville resident, Caitlin Reynolds, were listed on that report as being injured – however no details regarding the extent of their injuries was noted. 

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
