An employee at the Summerville McDonald’s reported to police Tuesday morning that a customer had attempted to pay for their food with a counterfeit $100 bill. 

McDonald’s Manager  Jill Spears said that the offender was a white female going through the drive-through around 6 AM. After she unsuccessfully tried to buy her food with the fake bill, she sped off without attempting to collect her food.

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident
