Emergency officials were dispatched to an overturned dump truck on Shorter Avenue around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Trooper First Class Jeremy Battle, “the dump truck was traveling east on Highway 20 and a little passenger car attempted to enter the travel lane from the center turn lane. She failed to yield to the dump truck and the driver of the truck swerved and avoided the collision with her and lost control of the vehicle.”
The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries and was conscious and alert on the scene.
