A Boaz woman was arrested for theft of property of a motor vehicle, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Investigator Adam Chapman says 32 year old Stacy Leigh Camper of Boaz, was arrested and charged with one count of first degree theft of property (motor vehicle), which is a felony. 

Camper stated to investigator Chapman that she stole a 2008 Nissan Altima from a residence on Mizell Circle.  She drove the vehicle to a fast food restaurant and then left it in the parking lot of a store in Albertville.  The car was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

She was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on a $5,000 bond for the theft warrant.
