Phil Ellsworth / ESPN Images(BOSTON) — The Boston Celtics have traded guard Avery Bradley to the Detroit Pistons for forward Marcus Morris, according to an announcement on Friday.
The Celtics needed the salary-cap space to sign free-agent and All-Star forward Gordon Hayward.
The Pistons acquire a 2019 second-round pick as part of the deal. Detroit is also renouncing the free-agent rights to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, league sources tell ESPN.
