Karwai Tang/WireImage(LONDON) — The first day of Wimbledon is officially underway, and among those in attendance on opening day is Kate Middleton.
Ahead of the games Monday, the Duchess of Cambridge met with some of the current and former players, as well as with ball boys and ball girls.
Kate is attending the tournament as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The duchess took over the patronage from Queen Elizabeth II, 91, in December.
