The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has released the names of the two individuals killed when their vehicle collided with a tractor trailer in Etowah County last Thursday night.  That accident occurred just after 9:00 on I-59 near the 181 mile marker, approximately one mile north of Attalla and involved a 2007 Freightliner and a 2002 Chevrolet. 

The truck driver was unhurt; however, both the driver and a passenger in the Chevrolet, 21 year old Anna Elaine Holthof of Gadsden, and her father Roy Michael Holthof, age 59 – were pronounced dead at the scene.

That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
