Emergency Crews Respond To Two Accidents In Cherokee County On Wednesday Afternoon

Within a span of less than 30 minutes emergency crews worked a two car and a three car crash in Cherokee County on Wednesday afternoon. That first accident was a three car crash on Alabama Highway 9 just north of Cedar Bluff in front of Trammel Welding involving a pickup truck, a passenger car and a minivan. One person was treated at the scene for what appeared to be only minor injuries.

Both lanes of Alabama Highway 9 were completely blocked for a short period time as officers and firefighters removed two of the vehicles from the roadway.

The Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Department, Cherokee EMS and Alabama State Troopers responded to that scene.

Moments later a two car crash was reported on the Leesburg Bridge involving a passenger car and a pickup truck. One lane of the bridge was blocked for a period of time as Alabama State Troopers worked the wreck, fortunately no one was injured.

Centre and Leesburg Police, Leesburg Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, Rescue Squad Personnel and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
