The woman involved in a single-vehicle accident on County Road 45 earlier in the week has died.

Cherokee County Coroner Jeremy Deaton has informed WEIS Radio News that 45 year old Susan Bonner of Centre passed away Thursday from injuries sustained in Tuesday’s wreck.

According to that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, Bonner’s 2004 Suzuki Verona left the roadway, struck a guardrail and landed in a creek around 12:15pm; she was transported to Floyd Medical Center by EMS ground units. 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
