This month The Cherokee County Museum will open a revised Sports Room to better showcase those athletes who have been recognized for their significant contributions to the History of Cherokee County through Sports. The Museum Sports Room will display those who have been inducted into the Alabama High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the Cherokee County Sports Hall Of Fame.

There will be photo recognition of the County teams that have won State Championships. A space has been reserved to recognize those who have reached “Legends” Status.  The Steering Committee for the project announces New Awards are to be announced and will be presented to recipients at a meeting later this month.
