A woman narrowly escaped being seriously injured on Tuesday morning, when a tree came crashing down on her vehicle as she was driving toward Rome on Horseleg Road. That SUV was near River Place around 9:30am, when the tree fell across the vehicle causing extensive damage.
The driver was transported to the hospital for the treatment of non life threatening injuries via Floyd EMS.
