Ronald Dale Carruth

Born to Joyce Moses Carruth and Russell Wayne Carruth May 24, 1953, Ronald Dale Carruth was the oldest of three.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and four children, Ashley, Joshua, Brandon & Megan. He is also survived by his mother, Joyce and two brothers; Tony Carruth of Blue Ridge and Timothy Carruth, of Atlanta. He had two grandchildren.

Dale, as his friends called him, grew up in the Douglasville area. He attended Douglas County High School and studied at Southern Poly and GA Tech. He served as a Green Beret during the Vietnam War.

He became a civil engineer and traveled the globe throughout his career. Dale passed on May 19, 2017 in Zambia, Africa. He was his family’s rock and anchor.

He will be dearly missed. Services will be held on Saturday, 6/10. Visitation is at 11 am to 1 pm CDT at Perry Funeral Home in Centre, AL and a graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm CDT at Walker’s Chapel in Fort Payne, AL.
