Ft Payne Police along with DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of an illegal House Party, at a residence on Fruit Farm Road last Saturday night – with the visit to the property resulting in a total of 30 people being arrested, including the homeowner.
Law enforcement arrived at that property to find approximately 100 people gathered in the backyard of the home – most of whom were determined to be under the age of 21.

The homeowner – Veronica Mejia – told officers that she was hosting a graduation party for her son and it had simply gotten out of hand; she was arrested and charged with Hosting an Illegal Open House Party and Allowing Minors to Consume Alcoholic Beverages.
