Some Cherokee Electric customers were in the dark for a brief period of time of Friday afternoon. According to Sarah Bright at Cherokee Electric power to the East Centre area has been restored, according to Bright, it appears that two line somehow touched together and caused a fuse to blow near substation.

Power was restored to all customers in just under an hour.
