Centre Police and Firefighters along – with Cherokee EMS – responded to the scene of a two vehicle crash involving an 18 wheeler and an SUV shortly before 8:30 Wednesday night.

According to the Centre Police Department accident report the driver of the 1997 Toyota 4-Runner, 42 year old Honey Trammell of Centre, and a juvenile, were both carried by EMS to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment – while the driver of the 18 wheeler identified as 50 year old Johnny Gravitt of Adairsville, Georgia was unhurt.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
