Gadsden Police are investigating a homicide taking place in the 500 block of Taylor Street on Wednesday afternoon. .
Officers arrived at the scene and found 23-year-old Anibal Cristobal Francisco suffering from a gunshot wound. Francisco was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Officers reportedly observed someone run from the rear of the residence and took him into custody after a brief chase. The suspect is being held in the Etowah County Jail.
His identity is being withheld pending formal charges.
