Classroom in the Forest Youth Firearm Training Provided by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Firearms Instructor Matt Sims recently participated in the program entitled Classroom in the Forest, teaching Cherokee County youth safe and proper use of firearms.  That program was sponsored by the Alabama Treasure Forest Association, and hosted by the Cherokee County Forestry Planning Committee.  That committee consists of the Alabama Extension Office, Alabama 4-H, Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Forestry Commission, and Farm Service Agency.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office appreciates each and every opportunity to be of service to the community, especially to our youth.

Investigators Sims and Monroy led the same training exercises that took place last week at the Chattokee Lodge in Gaylesville.
