Shortly after 8:00 Tuesday morning, Spring Creek firefighters were dispatched to reports of a re-start of a fire from the night before on County Road 76. That call indicated that flames were plainly visible and were near a propane tank located on the property.
Spring Creek units quickly arrived on the scene and within a short period of time requested additional manpower with the Centre Fire Department providing assistance.
The firefighters, having to deal with brisk winds, finally managed to bring the flames under control around 10:00am.
The reason for the initial fire has yet to be determined.
