A Gadsden man has been arrested in connection to burglary and theft for two separate incidents, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Joshua Mark McClary, 37, of Gadsden, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of third degree theft of property, one count of unlawful breaking/entering a vehicle and possession of burglary tools, all are felonies,” investigator Adam Chapman said.
McClary allegedly broke into a building located on Roberts Road and stole two window air conditioner units on April 28th. The next day, on April 29th, he allegedly damaged a drink machine and broke into a vehicle parked at the Exxon store, located on Duck Springs Road.
He admitted to investigator Chapman that he sold the window units to a scrap yard. He also stated that he was looking for a purse in the vehicle but, did not find anything.
McClary is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $9,000 bond.
