The Cherokee County Board of Education called an emergency meeting on Sunday night with the only item on the agenda being the acceptance of the resignation of Sand Rock Baseball Coach/Teacher Richard Tyler Driskell effective immediately.
No details were given as to why Driskell has resigned and Superintendent of Education Mitchell Guice declined to comment further about the situation.
