Another young mother is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center, after being charged with felony Chemical Endangerment of a Child. 

27 year old Lauren Brooke Torrez of Gadsden – was arrested after her baby tested positive for morphine.  Investigator Brandi Fuller says that Torrez tested positive for Fentanyl while pregnant and her daughter tested positive for morphine after birth.
