A Tennessee man wanted for murder was taken into custody earlier this week by Ft Payne Police, after officers approached two individuals walking northbound on I-59.
Sean Scott Hale age 25 of Cleveland, Tennessee was identified as one of the two – and it was quickly determined that he had a felony warrant for murder out of Bradley County.
He was detained in the Ft Payne City Jail on Wednesday, appearing in Circuit Court the next morning where he signed a waiver to be extradited back to Tennessee on a warrant for first degree murder.
Hale is believed to be responsible for the murder of 34 year old Thomas Creek, Jr., whose body was found in a remote area of Polk County last week.
The matter remains under investigation.
