A Piedmont woman was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon in Calhoun County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, Buffy Phillips Usry age 47, was killed when her 1997 Dodge Ram left the roadway and struck a ditch shortly before 5:30pm on Foster West Road, approximately seven miles north of Jacksonville.
Troopers say Usry – who wasn’t wearing a seat belt – was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
