One person was hurt Saturday afternoon in a single vehicle accident on Alabama Highway 9 North near the Alabama Highway 35 intersection.  Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters, along with Cherokee EMS received that call at 5:18pm – and arrived on the scene to find a pickup truck which had left the roadway, crashing into a ditch in the front yard of a residence.

The driver, identified as Brandon Malone of Jonesboro Louisiana was removed from the ’92 Chevy truck and transported to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

No additional information regarding the extent of those injuries, was noted on that accident report.

It has yet to be determined what caused the mishap.
