Two More Woman Charged with Chemical Endangerment in Etowah County

Two more Etowah County woman have been arrested on chemical endangerment of a child charges – bringing the total to a half-dozen in just the past two weeks.

In separate cases 39 year old Rainbow City resident Christa Wagnon Garrett tested positive for methamphetamine while pregnant – meanwhile Jennifer Lynn Marchant, 32 of Gadsden, admitted to taking Suboxone and smoking marijuana during her pregnancy.

Both were booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on cash bonds of $10,000 each

As a condition of their bonds, they must successfully complete a drug treatment program in addition to being monitored by Etowah County Community Corrections.

The Etowah County Department of Human Services is involved in both cases.
