Severe Weather Strong Possibility Wednesday

A line of strong to severe storms continues to advance toward northern Alabama, with even stronger storms remaining to the north and west in Tennessee and Mississippi.

The National Weather Service announced shortly after 10:00am that it would be expanding its “elevated” risk farther south in the central portion of the state after watching storm cells develop upstream.

Straight line winds are a primary concern, possibly reaching speeds of up to 70 mph.
