An area resident has been arrested on sexual abuse charges involving a child.
Ernesto Reynaldo Rodriguez age 64 of Collinsville was charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child under the age of 12 and placed under arrest Monday afternoon.
Rodriguez was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 3:00pm where he remains awaiting a bond hearing. No additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding his arrest has yet been made available.
