A 39 year old Boaz woman was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash in Etowah County last Thursday afternoon.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, a 2006 Nissan Murano being driven by Tina Battles Pendergrass left the roadway on U.S. 431 and struck a tree just before 4:30pm. That wreck occurred approximately three miles north of Attalla. Troopers say Pendergrass wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
