A two vehicle crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon in Rome, sent the 28 year old bike rider to nearby Floyd Medical Center for treatment; all three occupants of the 2008 Suzuki XL SUV, including a four year old – were transported to Floyd as well for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.
The accident took place at approximately 5:00pm when, according to police, the SUV pulled out of the West End Shopping Center preparing to travel westbound on Shorter Avenue and pulled into the path of the motorcycle – which caused the bike to collide with the SUV’s rear quarter panel on the driver’s side.
No names have been released pending completion of the accident report.
