Gray skies and the threat of rain couldn’t keep the crowds away from the annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre.
On Wednesday the citizens of Cherokee County had the opportunity to stop by between the hours of 12:00 noon and 2:00pm to take advantage of this incredible opportunity, and Matt Woodfin with the Forestry Commission gave us an overview of what those attending one of these annual events could expect to find:
The Arbor Day Tree Giveaway has been celebrated for more than 135 years and has been in existence here in Cherokee County for more than 15 years:
