Alabama State Troopers were kept busy throughout the day Wednesday, responding locally to three separate accident scenes.
The first was a single-vehicle accident just prior to 8:00am, when a 41 year old Jacksonville man driving a 2006 Ford, lost control of the vehicle, skidding into a ditch at the intersection of Highway 278 and County Road 715.
There was a two-vehicle wreck, involving a passenger car and an 18 wheeler belonging to 7 Hills Transport out of Cartersville, Georgia on Highway 411 at around 11:00am. That wreck involved a 2005 Ford, driven by a 38 year old Gadsden man, and a 2014 Freightliner driven by a 57 year old resident of San Antonio, Texas.
Finally, at around 1:30 that afternoon, a log truck overturned on Highway 35. The driver of the 1993 Peterbilt, a 49 year old Rome, Georgia man, was treated and released at the scene.
Fortunately, neither the drivers nor passengers, in any of the vehicles in those three wrecks suffered any serious injuries – according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports.
All three accidents remain under investigation by state troopers.
